ODTUG Leadership Program Application Now Open

In an effort to enhance the leadership skills of its members, ODTUG is pleased to announce its fourth ODTUG Leadership Program. This nine-month program will cover topics such as leadership styles, effective communication, mentoring, team building, goal setting, and accountability. The application deadline is August 14, so don’t delay!

Why join the Leadership Program? Here are words from some of the 2016 graduates:

“Coming out of Kscope16 and the end of the 2016 Leadership Program, I am grateful for the opportunity to have met and worked with some amazing people. I feel like the program gave me valuable insight into the ODTUG organization and how to contribute to its growth and success. It was a privilege to work with a diverse group of people from all over the world who brought their own strength and talents to the group project. If you have not yet had a chance to look at the new Career Track Community, please check it out. I would encourage anyone interested in taking a greater role in ODTUG to apply for next year’s Leadership Program. You will not be disappointed.” – Melissa Kane, interRel Consulting

“This opportunity enabled us to collaborate and work together. I thought the concept of gathering together at the same time around the globe was amazing. For me, this was a 7:00 AM start in Melbourne on Wednesday mornings. I really looked forward to meeting with my colleagues, as they were all subject matter experts in a field we are all passionate about. This Leadership Program allowed us to listen to and liaise with amazing people who are leaders in their chosen field. As an example, I was truly inspired by leaders such as Kellyn Pot’Vin-Gorman, Jeremy Harms, Kent Graziano, Monty Latiolais, and Sarah Zumbrum (and her amazing energy, input, guidance, quotes for the week, support, and encouragement for all us). We all read books and content that was relevant to our areas of being successful leaders. Our project was to set up a brand-new community under the ODTUG banner, and it was called Career Track Community. The finale was to graduate at Kscope16 in Chicago. I must admit, I have never been to such a well-organized event, being in a tightly knit community surrounded by passionate individuals who worked hard and partied hard, too! I have met some great friends through this Leadership Program. It has been an absolute privilege to have taken part in this program, and I will continue to support newbies in it.” – Nicci Russo, Australian Red Cross Blood Service
