ODTUG Bids Farewell to Mike Riley

He has led many successful projects throughout his career, including leading a development team to create a rating system for workers' compensation insurance using Designer, Developer, Reports, and other third-party tools. He has also taken part in many database upgrades/migrations and disaster recovery planning and testing scenarios.

Thank you, Mike, for your commitment to the ODTUG Board of Directors and the ODTUG Kscope Conference Committee these past 12 years. You will be missed!

"It’s been a pleasure to serve alongside all of you. I think we’ve done well for the members, and I expect and demand that you continue the tradition to do the best that you can for our members. Thanks to YCC for the support and willingness to execute the plans we’ve made throughout the years and for being a true partner to ODTUG. You all rock! Thank you to Neviana and Teal for stepping up and choosing to represent the members. I hope you find it as satisfying as I have throughout the years. Jake, I have enjoyed serving alongside you over the years. I am disappointed that the members did not vote you back in this year, but I am confident that the organization is better from your service. It’s not goodbye, it’s so long for now. I’m ODTUG for life—always will be. Thank you all for everything that you’ve given me.” - Mike Riley

“Mike, it’s been such an honor and a pleasure to work with you over the years. I don’t think I would have been so involved in the ODTUG organization if it wasn’t for your leadership. It was your vision that brought my community to ODTUG, and it was your vision and your leadership that got me involved in the organization. I saw you giving back to ODTUG and that inspired me to do the same. I thank you for everything you’ve done for ODTUG. I thank you for your unwavering and unselfish gift of your time to the different communities. You will be missed!” - Natalie Delemar

"Mike took his extensive experience from years on the ODTUG board and shared it freely with others.  He had a laser focus on doing the right thing for the organization and its members.  I will always be grateful for the time he invested in me personally - I am lucky to call him a mentor.  ODTUG is, without a doubt, a better organization as a result of Mike's leadership and friendship." - Jake Turrell

“I wish you all the best. It’s been so great working with you, and I greatly appreciate all that you’ve done for me and this group!” - Eric Helmer

"Mike, you’ve always been there for me—as you are for every board member and every ODTUG member. Your presence in ODTUG through the years has kept us alive. I can’t imagine not seeing you as I come around the corner at a conference, and I can’t imagine not having your presence there. You’ve done so much for ODTUG, our conference, and communities that there is a piece of you that will carry on, because you’ve set the tone that “This is ODTUG!” Sending giant hugs for you and your family! Wishing you the best moving forward!” - Karen Cannell

“I have the benefit of not having to say goodbye to Mike because he has graciously offered to be on the Finance Committee. Thank you for everything that you’ve done; our relationship is something that I will always value.” - Gary Crisci

"Thank you Mike, not only for the ODTUG guidance and support, but the personal touch. It’s been a number of years, and I think we’ve grown in our friendship and I really appreciate that. I appreciate the guidance that you’ve given to all of us. Your face is one of the faces that people think of when they think of ODTUG and ODTUG Kscope. I know we will continue to be in touch. I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you!” - Danny Bryant

"Mike, thank you from me too! I’m not sure if I’d be here if you hadn’t been involved when you were involved—it’s changed my career and my life. I have gotten a better understanding of how much you have given. It was great for me to re-join the board at the same time that you did because you have so much experience and knowledge and understanding of where we’ve been. I’ve really benefited from your commitment to help new board members. I really respect that you’ve been involved for so long, and given so much, and it doesn't seem like it’s ever been about you. You always give your time to help others. So, thank you!” - Tim German
