Learn about Oracle Hyperion Workforce Planning – what is “out of the box” and perhaps more importantly, what is not. This session will help you to design your Workforce Planning application by presenting Best Practices including at what level to plan, budget or forecast at: by employee, by position or a “hybrid” approach. Special considerations for large, global organizations including multi-currency and operating in countries/locations with diverse payroll rates and benefit plans are discussed. Assets and Accelerators are shown including questionnaires used for requirements gathering and design documents. The “out-of-the-box” Workforce Planning module is demonstrated and the dimensions, accounts, forms, business rules, global variables, Smart Lists and menus are shown and described. Common configuration changes (and not so common ones) are shown using a case study approach from a number of client implementations. These configuration changes include: long range planning at a higher level, multi-year forecasts, additional dimensions and accounts, administrator forms for salary midpoints, design for state payroll taxes, and automatic calculations based on user selections. Application design options are described along with data integration and security considerations. Change Management and Tips & Tricks when building Workforce Planning applications are also discussed. Functionality of the new Oracle Hyperion Project Financial Planning application is also briefly described.
