A few notes:
Session Type: For ODTUG Kscope20 we are soliciting abstracts for Hands-On Labs, Thursday Deep Dives, and a new session type called a Workshop. A Workshop is a regular session where the speaker includes an optional “follow-me” exercise for attendees who have laptops and possibly a tool installed (e.g., Data Visualization Desktop) and can download a file or script to follow along with the presenter. No infrastructure will be provided by ODTUG for Workshop sessions, and speakers should strive to keep the prerequisites, setup, and exercise execution as straightforward as possible.
Session Duration: In addition to soliciting new session types, we are also offering different options for session duration at ODTUG Kscope20. When submitting an abstract, a speaker should consider whether their topic could be covered in 30, 60, or 90 minutes and check all that apply. If submitting a Hands-On Lab, please indicate whether your lab could be 60, 90, or 120 minutes long. The selection committees will ultimately be responsible for determining what they think is the best duration for your topic.
