Have you heard the news that ODTUG has gone live with Oracle’s Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service? ODTUG recently announced that it has adopted Oracle’s EPBCS to manage its financial reporting and budgeting needs. ODTUG has long wanted to utilize Oracle’s innovative finance solutions, but the large investment required in computing assets made it unfeasible. Today, with the availability of Oracle’s cloud solutions, the paradigm has shifted. These solutions provide a way for smaller organizations to adopt enterprise-class software without incurring the overhead typically associated with these advanced applications.
In this session, ODTUG Director and Oracle ACE Gary Crisci will demonstrate the ease of deploying an EPBCS application for ODTUG. Gary will walk through the process of creating an application in PBCS, importing metadata and financial data from ODTUG’s GL, and building feature-rich dashboards and financial reports. He will also lead a demonstration of some of the novel features in EPBCS such as the ability to manage metadata via the Smart View Excel add-in.
